The SoundBlot Test is an aural manifestation of visual stimulus. It was an audio-fiction experiment that lead to the creation of Alexander's radio drama podcast Smash/Cut.

Alexander was the producer and sound designer.

Hi, I'm Mattie (or HIM) was Smash/Cut's 2016 World AIDS Day tribute created in conjunction with the Outburst Queer Arts Festival's piece "GL RY" produced by TheatreofplucK. HIM discusses HIV stigma within the gay community through the story of Matthew Cavan, a Northern Irish performer and HIV activist.

Alexander was the producer and sound designer.

 

Theatrical Sound Design

This is the opening cue for Amar Atkins's Augmented Renaissance, which premiered at Swine Palace's 2015 MFA Thesis Showcase. To learn more about Amar and the piece, visit his site.

Alexander was the sound designer and technician for the showcase.

This is the opening cue to Hoover In Love, directed by Josh Rodriguez in the final season of Outworks (an LGBTQ New Play Festival). The director wanted an opening cue that would place the mostly millennial audience in the right period with some historical background, so documentary reels were used to set the scene.

Alexander was the sound designer and dramaturg.

This is the closing cue to Jerry Crawford's Closer Than That, which premiered at Swine Palace as a staged reading under the company's New Play Initiative.
